Report from the Central Coast Men of Football 2018 AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Men Of Football, Central Coast Chapter, was held at Mingara Recreation Club on Tuesday 27 November 2018.

It was reported that Men of Football Central Coast granted $12,000 in assistance over the last 12 months to 15 recipients. In addition to financial assistance MOFCC has been also able to help needy footballers and their families in practical ways. Follow-up to grant recipients is constantly taking place and includes free counselling and monitoring to help families with any ongoing needs.

The following officers were elected: President - Dave Harris; Vice President - Mick Morley; Treasurer - Graham Dyce; Secretary - Mark Raftery; Welfare Officer - Chris Rubie; Media Officer - Phil McNab.

A new office of Female Laison Officer was created and Gabby Bowles was elected to that position.

Ray Sandell remains as Patron.

All members of the General Committee - Brad Horrell, Mick Barrie, Tom McFarlane, Joe McGinley, Keith Ollier, Bob Parkinson, Nigel Ward & Warwick Tyson - were re-elected as well as 2 new committee members, Ian Wells and Mike Folland.

The committee looks forward to another year of assisting past & present footballers and their families who have fallen on hard times.

You'll Never Walk Alone.

Golf day a huge success

The Central Coast Men of Football annual golf day was held on Friday August 17 at Shelly Beach Golf Club. The weather was perfect - much sun & not much wind - many shots weren't so perfect but everyone had a great day.

Congrats to the Rustics who won the main prize but the biggest winner was the Central Coast football community because the money raised on the day for Men of Football was about $11,000.

Thank you to all the players, the sponsors & Shelly Beach Golf Club who were great hosts.

You'll never walk alone.

Winning group, the Rustics, with MOFCC President, David Harris
Ladies from the CC Mariners office - thanks for supporting Men of Football

MOFCC Race Day report

The Central Coast Men of Football annual race day was held on Thursday the 19th of April 2018 at Wyong Racecourse. A good day was had by all with some winners, some losers, a raffle, Calcutta & good food & drink. We even had a thunderstorm which forced the cancellation of the last 2 races (including race 7, the main "Men of Football" sponsored race) but that didn't dampen the generosity of those attending with about $2000 raised on the day to help those involved with football who have fallen on hard times.

A big thank you to Wyong Race Club for supporting Men of Football in a practical way, helping us to have a profitable day.

You'll Never Walk Alone
